I did it. I went and saw Snakes on a Plane.
I almost didn't because it would be hard pressed to live up to its hype, and I didn't want to see Samuel Jackson in a crummy movie, but I didn't have to worry.
It was great!
It won't win an Oscar, unless they create a category for most times you jump in a movie, or most snakes in a movie, but it was a helluva lot of fun.
The movie isn't high brow but is certainly worth the price of a ticket.
I don't need to go into the plot of the movie because the title tells it all. While there are many, MANY plot holes and movie mistakes it doesn't detract from the movie at all.
Defintely not as good as Pulp Fiction, and not as good as the little known but incredible Formula 51, also starring Samuel Jackson, I would still highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a movie and not have to put a lot of thought into it.
The soundtrack was excellent too, and, in keeping with the Middle Aged Crazy theme of this blog, there are several incredible women in the film. There is a bathroom scene at the beginning of the snake attack that involves one of the sexiest young women I have ever seen.
On a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a solid 8.5 or 9 for pure enjoyment. (The girl in the bathroom I'd give at least a 15)
