Negril - One week and counting

A week away, hurricanes are brewing and Negril is calling.
I knew it was risky scheduling a trip during early September but hopefully the weather will cooperate and things will go as planned. Ernesto skirted Jamaica and apparently dumped a lot of rain, but not much else. The things I've read indicate no major damage so the trip is still on!
I am really looking forward to a nice, restful vacation and Negril is the perfect place to accomplish that. I'm hoping that our resort, Sunset at the Palms, will be as I envision it and even more laid back than is normal in Negril.
I hope to get some writing done while I'm there, I've gotten 30K+ words on one novel, about 15k words on another, and still need to finish polishing up the non-fiction one. I'm great at starting to write books but not as good at finishing them (although I have finished three, one of which I will eventually self publish as it is a historical tome with a narrow readership, another is crap, and the third is with an agent as we speak).
Hopefully there won't be any power problems so my laptop will do ok. The resort is supposed to have wireless internet so I'll try to blog while I'm there. If not, I'll write them and post when I return.
The thought of sitting on the veranda with a nice rum drink and a good cigar and watching one of the afternoon showers is almost too much to handle. Of course, some time scoping out the topless beach is also highly anticipated.
Soon come.
